Two hundred years of immense wealth and power reflect the plan of Vijayanagara empire which means ” The city of Victory” situated in a mythical landscape caused by some 3000 million years of erosion at first underground and when uplifted by exposure to sun, wind and rain showcasing granite boulders of varying sizes and colors that seem to have been thrown down by some primeval cataclysm. Amidst this mythical landscape runs Tungabadra river revealing human habitation has existed in this area for at least 3000 years
This is also the place in Ramayana refering to Rama and Lakshmana’s wait during the monsoon during their way to Lanka and where Lakshmana crowned Sugriva after Valli’s death. This place is also referred as the birth place of Lord Hanuman
Being the capital for around 200 years and after the catastrophic battle of January 1565 at Talaikota, the city was abandoned to enemy forces leading to destruction of most of the imperial buildings,looting, burning and destroying the city leading to decaying of the former Vijayanagar capital into ruins to which you are invited to join a small group to explore the interests of this historical prestige of magnificent ruins, remarkable landscape, religious association of this outstanding destination of international significance.
26 Oct – Departure from Chennai airport leaving at 0725 hrs (check in at 0545 hrs) to Hubli. On arrival transfer by surface to Hampi. Our first stop will be at Anegundi village where we will have lunch at Urrama resort and then explore by foot the village and nearby boulders. In the evening we will drive to Hampi with a sunset stop. Dinner and overnight at the hotel near Hampi
27 Oct – After an early breakfast we will drive to Hampi to start the tour from the Ganesha temple, climb up to Hemakota hills and then walk down to Virupaksha temple. We will later walk along the boulders to Vytalla Temple which is considered as the Jewel of Vijayanagar empire. On the way back we will take a coracle ride along the river to see some more amazing boulders. Lunch is planned at Mango tree restaurant near Virupaksha Temple
In the afternoon we will visit an underground Shiva Temple, The royal enclosure, Lotus Mahal, Haza Rama Temple and end up the visit of Hampi by visiting The Royal platform.

28 Oct – Morning free at the hotel. We will leave Hampi at around 1130 hrs to Bellary airport to connect flight to Bangalore and then onward to Chennai reaching Chennai at 1910 hrs using True Jet and Indigo
Costing – Rs. 29950/- per person on twin sharing basis and is inclusive of flight tickets, accommodation at The Heritage Hampi Resort, breakfast on 27 and 28 Oct, dinner on 26 and 27 Oct, lunch on 26 Oct, entrance fees, transport, local guide and all taxes.
Cost does not include breakfast on 26 Oct and lunch on 27 and 28 Oct, in other words any other meals which is not included above, table drinks during meals, beverages, gratitudes and any other personal expenses.
If any participant would wish to have accommodation on single sharing basis then the extra cost would be Rs. 8556/- for two nights.
The group will operate with a minimum of 08 pax travellilng in a tempo traveller and the operation of this group is subject to confirmation of minimum travelling pax.
Booking and cancellation. Interest of participation to be notified to us by 10 Sep, non refundable advance of Rs. 12000/- to be paid vide bank transfer before 15 Sep to issue flight tickets and balance to be paid by 28 Sep.
All payments made are non refundable as the same will be remitted to the airline and hotels accordingly which levy full retention charges on cancellation.
